Used to be a godaddy’s client for several years on shared hosting.
Every time when problem occured on servers and I tried to reach support team – it was a total frustration.
Godaddy’s support is absolutely inadequate and unprofessional. 1. They do not reply on e-mails AT ALL.
    2. Live chat is always busy and offline. When you reach it, they say it’s only for global questions and they can’t help you.
    3. When you make a phone call, they say: “estimated wait time is 50 minutes” (very expensive to wait while calling from another country.

Technical problem that can be solved literally in one minute – remains unsolved for days, meanwhile your website is down, you lost money and visitors.
    Fucking idiots work there.

Their hosting is absolutely terrible. the control panel leaves a lot of be desired for. Just in the processing of moving over to 1and1 who i’ve been using for years.

Also, i’m uk based yet I had to google for a uk contact number. Why do they not have this on their home page….

if you have not paid for domain timely – your page will be parked, thats ok. But after you`ve paid – be ready to see parking page for at least 4-5 hours and then a few days there will be blank page with message “this page now not parked with godaddy”

Forced me to do a website facelift upgrade and pay for it even though our little nonprofit did not need any more functionality on ur 10 year old site. Proceeded to delete ons of uploaded historical data that had no other backup on pdf links. just terrible and no help in trying to fix for over a month

I’ve used them before and found their prices keep increasing, so I went with namecheap instead.

GoDaddy runs a large operation but they have seriously lost touch with their clients. I have since moved all of my domains away from GoDaddy because they don’t care to keep my interests in mine. Just their greedy ones.

Godaddy..is way too costly…they have discount coupons only to lure customers..then they during renewals the rates are high…also once you have already transfered a domain from them..they still bill you if you do not cancel the Credit Card auto payment option from their control panel…

18 eur for 10 minutes of phone support is too much and there is no more live chat or tickets to contact their support team

I find godaddy to be quite easy to use and the best part is that it is not hard on your pocket to. It gives you regular reminder, if there is payment due to make sure that your domain remains with you forever. Again, its excellent customer care does give it a heads up. At least I have got all these things from GoDaddy.

I use GoDaddy to renew my domains and have done so for a handful of years. I find their prices reasonable, particularly because I can select from a range of promo codes to get a discount on my purchase. The only slight gripe I have with GoDaddy is the incessant reminders they email me a few months before my domain names expire. I find it somewhat irritating. Apart from that, GoDaddy’s cool.

GoDaddy might be the #1 in domain registrar but the big disadvantage that they have is their pricing gets keep increasing. Other domain registrar have fixed pricing per year per domain.

I have a site that I recently moved to GoDaddy. In my opinion if you are not confident with the skills needed to set up data bases and MySQL I would not use them. Although the customer service is polite they are of no help when it comes to outside scripts such as CashCrusader.

I have 15 domains with GoDaddy for almost 10 years now and I have not had any problems with them. Renewing domains have always been quick and easy for me. They always have coupon codes, so do a Google search for some before buying.

I cannot comment on GoDaddy hosting because I have not tried it yet. But for domains, I have been satisfied.

4 years ago: Their user interface is not very user friendly. Also you can just about forget transferring a domain out of Moniker, very difficult to unlock a domain to release it to another registrar. Sometimes it is even impossible to renew a domain. When you contact customer service, they will say try again, we were having technical difficulties. And when you try again, same result. Total crap.

4 years ago: TDNAM means The Domain Name After Market and it is run by Godaddy. They charge you $4.99 a year to be a member for what should be a FREE service. Buying expired domains or domains offered for sale isn't bad and the service has many advanced search features if you are looking for certain types of domains. However, if you want to sell domains there, you can list for free, but when you sell a domain TDNAM disclaims the deal regarding the funds. While no domain transfer will be made till TDNAM receives the funds and transfers the funds to you, if the buyer charges back you are screwed. This applies to domains up to $499. Over $500 and Escrow.com is utilized so you are safe then.

It looks deceptively easy to use - it SHOULD BE the greatest thing ever for just about any computer-literate person to create a website. But it just doesn't work. Who decided to make a site builder with NO SAVE FEATURE? There are constantly questions and issues with saves posted to WEebly's forums, and these go back years and continue up until today (5/15/17). You would think they might add a... diddly ding-dong save button!
