3 weeks ago: I agree with MSK's positive post wholeheartedly. I've also used Malwarebytes along with CCleaner and Spybot Search and Destroy, and it's true. Malwarebytes did find spyware entries that other programs I tried missed. So on the free side of things, I hope that Malwarebytes stays updated and free. Without it, some people might be out of luck in a rare situation if they didn't have a free option like this. Could happen, thumbs up!

3 weeks ago: AVG is totally free, and because of this I don't COMPLETELY trust it's effectiveness. However, there needs to be a nice selection of free antivirus programs sticking around to help the fight, so I applaud AVG for their constant good service. I've heard that many people use AVG and enjoy nearly the same protection as paid antivirus programs like Norton. Sure, it doesn't come with tons of extras, but at least it's barebones protection. Thumbs up!

3 weeks ago: Norton seems to be the antivirus program that everyone trusts. I've used them for nearly 10 years as a complimentary, free part of my Comcast Internet service, and never got a virus. Also, because they have a pretty big team of employees, they manage to keep their virus definitions updated for true "up to the minute" protection.

4 weeks ago: Spybot Search And Destroy DOES find instances of viruses and spyware that other anti-virus programs miss. That's one of the main reasons that computer professionals recommend this program to chat members so frequently. It's constantly updated to include new definitions to stay right in-tune with the latest online spyware/malware threats. Most times I scan, it finds some "bad stuff" to remove. Thumbs up!

4 weeks ago: Love McAfee! They've been one of the very best anti-virus software programs since the very beginning! I remember back about 8 years ago they were just becoming popular, and I loved how light and fast having it installed was. Never a single problem with viruses, and it seemed to always be on the cutting edge! Thumbs up!

4 weeks ago: I like avast, but it is a bit on the bulky side for small PC's without a lot of processing power. It seems like antivirus programs work really well, but the amount of PC resources they take up is unreal. I just wish antivirus programs were a lot less resource intensive. But Avast does seem to update their database regularly with new virus definitions, and genuinely have a really good reputation. So I give them a thumbs up, and didn't have any problems with it being able to discover new viruses and exploits on my PC.
