7 months ago: I was a member of Cashcrate about 5 or 6 years ago I think. I got the very small amount of money I paid in, but somewhere through signing up to free samples of laundry detergent and things, some thief stole my identity. Point is, these free offer sites do very little for you in terms of payback, and create a whole world of worry to deal with in between. I stay away from sites like this now, entirely!

7 months ago: Points2shop also took my earnings for no reason. My first time I got the stuff I ordered, the second time my account was gone for no reason. Thumbs down!

4 years ago: FatWallet seems cool when you first visit it because they have all these fancy offers for getting cash back when you make purchases, but I figured out their scheme. Every time you buy something when you click one of their links, you're making them all kinds of money - money from which they pay you pennies on the dollar if you even get paid at all. I spent almost a thousand dollars on a good deal for a TV that I liked, and I was supposed to get 4% back on that purchase. When I emailed them about it, they denied that the offer ever took place and instead tried to send me to a different retailer to spend even more of my money! Don't take all their promises at face value else you'll be sorely disappointed.
